VERSO Super Facial Serum 1oz

I am in my mid 30's and have combination oily skin that changes depending on the season. I started 2019 with a terrible breakout that prompted me to enter the world of many, many, actually toooo many products! I had reasonably good skin minus a few acne spots during that time of the month, and a few fine lines. This breakout was prompted by my first/last face waxing session, and I believe it destroyed my skin barrier which is what led to the long road of recovery ahead. Trying too may products at once wasn't helpful either. I do give everything a fair shake, at minimum 1 month of use to know if it's making an impact, but if it is causing an actual reaction then do not feel like you have to push through it! I tried this retinol alternative based on a review from Susan Yara on YouTube. What I want you to know about this product is that even though it's a retinol alternative, the quality of my skin absolutely improved and I felt that it was noticeable for fine lines about 3/4 way through the bottle. The downside is that you can't actually tell how much product is in the bottle. One pump was enough for me (though it may not seem like it), and I kept it away from my eye area. Alternate evenings between this and say a great AHA/BHA combo like DE TLC Framboos, otherwise you may find you get flaky. It probably lasted about 3 months? Always work your way up to more consistent use. I did use a moisturizer on top during the winter, but if you have oily skin you probably won't need to. If you are concerned about the strength of the product, you can always use it on top of a moisturizer to minimize the effect. ALWAYS wear sunscreen during the day - I use retinol in the evening and Skinceuticals Floretin CF in the daytime to also make my sunscreen more effective. So if I liked it so much why did I remove it from my rotation? It is expensive and I wanted to focus on a more acne specific solution so went with a 0.5% retinol with salicylic acid from pca skin and it really helped in the long term. I always knew i'd reincorporate this Verso product once my skin was at a reasonable place again, so I am happy to have it back in my rotation! Good luck on your skincare journey!
